Prospects for the Implementation of New Materials and Technologies in the Aerospace Industry

Abstract This article considers the main materials used to make aircraft, both fuselage and engines. First, problems that force developers introduce new in aircraft production are identified. We then present features of introduction heat-resistant titanium alloys, ways improving mechanical properties parts made methods manufacturing complex details. Other promising for aviation industry, such as high-entropy quasicrystals, carbon-carbon materials, nickel foam, also considered.
